A new theater is scheduled to open in Williamsburg in June.
The new entertainment spot will be called The Wagsters Magic Theatre. It will be open all year round, making it the first magic venue in the area to put on shows throughout the year. The theater will be managed by Hannah and Brandon Wagster. The married couple has converted a former church into the new theater.
The Wagsters stated that renovating the theater has taken a lot of their time since they moved to Williamsburg. They have repainted the walls, put up new decorations, and even built their own stage. The plan for the theater is to have up to 200 performances every year and to provide audiences with an intimate performance based on magic shows in Las Vegas. Brandon Wagster explained to DailyPress.com:
“The show really is more than just a magic show. It’s very theatrical. The main goal is we want people to forget about everything outside of these four walls when they come in these doors.”
Initially, the Wagsters had intended to put on their shows in Myrtle Beach but the pandemic put those plans on hold. A friend of theirs suggested Williamsburg instead and they quickly fell in love with the area.
The grand opening for the new theater is scheduled for Friday, June 17. Banner printing services are often used as part of an opening event like this.
