International grant awarded to Williamsburg organization

The Global Doula Project has granted Summit Care Partners $1,000 in funding to enhance services for community members.

Summit Care Partners’ owner, Cryst’l Scheer, said:

“Advance care planning is really about opening conversations with each other regarding the type of life we want to live, the type of care that we do and do not want, and finding someone who is able and willing to speak for us during times when we are unable to speak for ourselves.”

Summit Care Partners is enthusiastic about launching a fresh outreach and education initiative with the aid of this grant, set to debut in Williamsburg in the next few months. Multiple community organizations will be given the chance to put together and engage in informative talks, while numerous families will benefit from comprehensive coverage of customized advance care planning services, as well as updates to existing advance directives. Brochure printing is a convenient way to share such a program.

Summit Care Partners organizes classes, workshops, and informative gatherings aimed at people seeking to ready themselves for the back end of their lives. This effort addresses unmet community needs and promotes open discussions surrounding end-of-life matters. A Certified Facilitator for Advance Directives named Scheer holds the belief that initiating proactive preparations for a considerate and purposeful end-of-life phase can begin at any point in time.
