Golf tournament to raise funds for autism support

The Faison Center in Williamsburg will hold its first Aces for Autism Gold Tournament next month. The event is open to the public.

The Center looks to raise money through the tournament, with proceeds benefiting services that help people with autism. The center’s programs involve a broad range of strategies, including early intervention and adult care programs. With these programs, the center hopes to provide “rich and fulfilling” lives for those living with autism.

Faison Center encourages participants to get involved as either sponsors or players. Sponsors will receive recognition and a chance to win goodie Bags. These Bags usually include items like promotional Pens and other swag.

Players who enrol can join as individuals or a team. All golfers will receive a boxed lunch along with a chance to win door and raffle prizes. Awards will also be given out to the top-performing teams at the end.

A beverage cart will serve drinks and snacks throughout the event. After the tournament is finished, participants can also join in a cocktail reception, where organizers will announce the winners.

The event will happen on May 10 at 11:00 AM, and the tournament officially starts at noon. The event will take place at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, which is located on 310 S England Street.
