The Amber Ox Public House brewpub owners recently finalized a lease for a space in Merchant’s Square in Williamsburg, where they plan to open a Precarious Beer Hall.
The co-owner of the Amber Ox, Andrew Voss, said the new venture will be different to anything currently operating in the square. He hopes to get people excited about the new space, which will feature an eatery serving street-style tacos, a tasting room where patrons can sample craft beers, an arcade where vintage games such as pinball will be available, outdoor seating, and live music. Voss wants to create a casual spot where people can drink beer, play games, and hang out having fun.
Voss and his partners finalized the lease on the space Seasons Restaurant previously occupied. The venue offers 9,700 square feet and is located in the Henry Street Shops, which are on the corner of Francis and South Henry streets. Voss wants to keep the beer hall open until 2:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays, giving late-night partiers another place to go.
Voss and his partners plan to invest over $2.5m in the new beer hall. The new venture will create over 60 jobs, and the arcade will offer more than 20 vintage games. Businesses like this can distribute Promotional Products to create awareness of the operation in the community.
The Precarious Beer Hall should be open by Summer 2019.
