Virginia Beach to host kids art sessions

Art classes for children will be held in Virginia Beach this January.

Called Mrs. Martin’s Art Classes, the sessions will be conducted by Lorri Martin, who has previously worked as an elementary school art teacher for 17 years. She now offers independent classes throughout the month for children between the ages of 5 and 11. Youngsters get the chance to explore the world of art through fun and engaging content.

Students will work together to create masterful pieces using a variety of materials, including oils, acrylics, and watercolors. It will also serve as an educational session, where students will learn about master artists, create three-dimensional art, and upcycle common household items.

The session will last for four Thursdays during the month, and each class will provide all supplies for attendees. Children may take home their completed pieces. All patrons need to register before attending.

The cost for registration will be $48 for all four sessions. Registration is available on the Eventbrite listing. Participants are advised that there are no refunds available unless classes have been canceled.

Graphic design can offer creative ways to engage children. It can also serve as a medium to present information to other attendees at events like this.

The art classes will commence on Thursday, January 5 at 460 Investors Place, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The class starts at 2:30 pm and ends at 3:30 pm.
