The Best Bay Foundation - Mid-Atlantic Chapter presents a family fun day at the beach next month.
Best Bay Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2008. It supports children and young adults with special needs by arranging events to help them build their self-esteem and reach their true potential. Events organized by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter serve areas in Southern Virginia, Northern North Carolina, and Maryland.
Depending on the weather, activities at the event will include kayaking, bodyboarding, tandem surfing, a beach obstacle course, and stand-up paddling.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to take along towels, a change of clothes, sunscreen, water, and snacks. Safety gears for each activity will be provided. A hot lunch will be provided for all child participants and volunteers. Participants with dietary restrictions should take their own food and drink. There will be an award ceremony at the end of the event and each participant will receive a goodie bag and Best Day team surfer medal. Volunteers and participants must register online.
Poster printing allows businesses and organizers to provide information about an event such as this in bulk and in vibrant designs.
The family-friendly event will be on Sunday, September 18 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. It will be at Little Island Park in Sandbridge at 3820 Sandpiper Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456. Visit the Foundation’s website for more information or to register.
