As another autumn gets underway, Virginia Beach will be rolling out the red carpet for an event planned with wine lovers in mind.
The 27th annual Fall Wine Festival will be a celebration of the fruit of the vine, and a wide assortment of Virginia's wineries will be showcasing their products. At least 60 wines are expected to be poured, and it is exclusively for those age 21 and up.
Ticketholders for the activity can sample the various offerings, and the vintners will be on hand to meet as well. A selection of live entertainment is on the agenda, and food will be available for purchase at the two area food trucks on site. A three-hour Twilight Tasting is scheduled for the Friday evening, while the one planned for the Saturday will run for five hours. Those who would like an even more immersive experience can choose the VIP Table for eight people, which includes extra perks such as a plant centerpiece to keep, water for eight guests, and also an ice bucket with a bottle of wine.
No matter which ticket type they choose, everyone who attends the festivities will receive a tasting glass with special graphic design. Individual passes are $45 each.
This celebration of Virginia’s wine industry will be held on September 13 and 14 at 31st Street Park. The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival website offers more information.
