There will be a reggae festival held in Virginia Beach this August.
Reggae on the Green is an outdoor entertainment festival aimed at giving patrons a full musical experience this summer. There will be food, drink, live music, DJs, and many fun activities open to the entire family at this event. Patrons can look forward to special guest appearances and band performances in this year's cultural experience.
As a part of the show's initiative this year, all proceeds earned from the event will go towards purchasing 500 Backpacks. These, along with school supplies, will be distributed to at-risk youth in surrounding communities. This charitable venture is done in partnership with Lotus Living Legacy. This is a local non-profit that provides assistance to at-risk youth in surrounding communities, and its mission is to help prepare children to thrive in the learning environment.
The Backpacks will specifically target children in the Hampton Roads and Caribbean communities.
General admission to the event is free. Those who wish to have preferred seating on the green may do so for a charge of $35. Tickets are available for purchase on the Eventbrite listing. Poster printing can prove useful for providing information to attendees at events such as this.
Reggae on the Green will be held outdoors on August 20 at Mount Trashmore. This is located at 310 Edwin Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. It begins at 11:00 am and ends at 6:00 pm.
