Vienna to organize mini music camp

The Vienna Jammers will hold a winter mini-camp for children in January at the Jammers Headquarters.

Kids who enjoy music can attend a one-day camp offered by the Vienna Jammers to develop their rhythm skills. The two-hour program is intended for children in grades 3-5 and will include practicing songs on the Marimba and using hand drums. Kids who have already taken part in a mini-camp or are part of the Jammers ensemble are not allowed in the event. Only 16 students will be permitted to enroll in the camp, and each camper must use face coverings in the Jammers Headquarters.

The Vienna Jammers is a group of over 120 children and teens who play in a percussion ensemble. The organization's mission is to use percussion programs to nurture creativity and educate youth. David L. Reynolds, Jr. is the leader of the ensemble and started the band in 2005. People can help the Vienna Jammers purchase new instruments and offer experiences to kids who cannot afford the program fees by donating. Companies can also sponsor the organization.

The mini-camp will be held on Friday, January 13 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The program cost is $40 per student, and the price is non-refundable. People can email frontdesk@viennajammers.org to learn how to apply for financial assistance if needed. Promoters for musical activities like this may utilize flyer printing to market the events to children.
