Vienna enjoys cinema under autumn stars

While the temperatures may begin to cool down in the early autumn, it will still be possible for Vienna residents to enjoy some of the hottest family-friendly flicks.

An event known as Big Screen on the Green will be taking place in September. Locals are provided with the opportunity to view movies in open-air settings; a throwback to the days of drive-in theaters. This festival is being sponsored by the Navy Federal Credit Union.

September's Big Screen on the Green will be showcasing Inside Out 2; an animated film released last year. Everyone who attends this screening will be provided with complimentary popcorn and bottled water while supplies last.

Events that seek to attract a wide local audience use several techniques to keep residents informed. Some effective strategies include flyer printing, radio advertisements, and Brochures that can be distributed to residents throughout Vienna.

Big Screen on the Green is free to attend, and the film is suitable for all ages. The screening will commence at 6:30 PM on Friday, September 12. If weather conditions are not suitable outdoor viewing, the town council may choose to reschedule.

This event is being hosted by the Vienna Community Center Auditorium located at 120 Cherry Street SE. More details can be found by calling the Vienna Department of Parks and Recreation, or by following local social media feeds.
