As a result, she is forced to remain within the lower classes of Edwardian society. However, things begin to change after an encounter with a language professor named Henry Higgins. What results is a surprising friendship, and Ms. Doolittle soon begins to transform into an elegant woman.
My Fair Lady was based on the play Pygmalion written by George Bernard Shaw, and this musical was first performed live in 1956. Today, it stands as one of the most critically acclaimed musicals of all time.
