Summer months often mean relaxation in the sun, but the Vienna community takes it a step further with the return of this popular summer event.
Known for hosting live performances throughout the year and acting as a key gathering place, the Vienna Town Green is a popular destination for both public and private events. For many, it is considered the city's heart, making it the perfect location for hosting its favorite block party.
The Chillin' on Church block party is a party meant for the whole family. Event attendees can start their evening by visiting one of the eight to twelve local food trucks expected at the party, ranging from savory selections from Atlantic BBQ, Brunched Around the World, and Cousins Maine Lobster. Or have dessert first, sweet delights from Ono Wai Shave Ice, The Inside Scoop, and Smoothie King. The party will feature various live music from local artists for attendees to enjoy throughout the event, in addition to a drink tent. There will also be a variety of family-friendly activities for attendees to enjoy and test their skills.
Community events like this Vienna block party are a great way to connect with the community throughout the summer, discover new artists, and try a wide range of delicious local food trucks. Often, vendors will use flyer printing to let attendees know where they can find them next.
The Chillin' on Church block party takes place on the third Friday of June, July, August, and September on the Church Street side of the Vienna Town Green, located at 144 Maple Ave E, Vienna. The event is free to attend, but alcoholic beverages require a wristband and drink tickets, which can be purchased at the event. Additional information can be found on the Town of Vienna's website.
