HR Alliance will hold a presentation and networking opportunity in February at the Tower Club in Vienna.
Mental Health Awareness and Education is a program where attendees can learn about the stigmas of mental health and how to recognize common behavioral issues. The main focus of the session will be how mental health relates to adults in the workplace. The event is organized by both the HR Alliance and the Washington Area Total Rewards Association (WATRA). Guests can arrive early to the presentation to network with other attendees.
The speakers for the program will be Jason Youngblood and Sandra Shaklan. Youngblood is currently the Director of Cigna's Behavioral Center of Excellence, which is a company that develops mental health training options for the workforce. He is also a personal trainer and licensed counselor in Maryland. Shaklan is Cigna's Behavioral Innovation Lead for the company's Workplace Wellbeing Services team. She earned a certification from the National Council of Behavioral Health and is a licensed clinical social worker.
The mental health program will be held on Wednesday, February 8 from 7:45 am to 10:00 am. Members of the HR Alliance and the WATRA can attend the event for free, while non-members can pay $60 to register for the presentation. Organizations that offer educational programming on topics like this may use brochure printing to give registrants learning materials to bring home.
