Vienna will host a festival in July at Yeonas Park as part of its Liberty Amendments Month event series.
Vienna's Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks is a community program where people can watch live music performances and enjoy food from local vendors. This year's event will feature concerts from Cantaré and Thunderball. Attendees can buy food and drinks from the Vienna Little League concession stand, Lady K's Cafe, and Bun Run. There will also be dessert vendors at the festival, like The Inside Scoop and Kona Ice. No pets or personal fireworks are allowed at the event.
Liberty Amendments Month is an event that the Town of Vienna created in 2021 after Juneteenth was deemed a state holiday. The festival's purpose is to celebrate the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th Amendments for giving rights to those who were originally excluded from the U.S. Constitution. Many activities are held during the event, such as the Textile Museum Day Trip, the Liberty and the Press Panel, and the Vienna Multicultural Festival.
The fireworks celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There is no cost to attend the festival, and free parking will be available at the Cedar Park Shopping Center and Thoreau Middle School. Cities that organize fests such as this may use banner printing to promote their celebrations to more citizens.
