Entrepreneurship 101: Starting A Business in Fairfax County is a workshop where people can hear advice from a panel of small business experts. The topics covered in the program include how to register a business and the basics of creating business plans. Many representatives from the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority will attend the event, such as Alex Iams and Karen Smaw.
The workshop’s Entrepreneur Spotlight will feature Donnell E. Johns, Sr. He is the founder of Veterans Growing America, a company that plans marketing events to help veteran-owned businesses connect with their communities. The organization also provides business resources to veterans.
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority is an organization that assists local businesses with starting, expanding, and relocating.
