Vienna soire to support STEM education for girls

The Tower Club in Vienna will host an event in May to raise funds for girls interested in STEM-related careers.

The 2023 Pink Tie Party: Girls in STEM Soirée is a springtime fundraiser and networking event for those who want to help Girls in Technology, which is an organization that educates girls in the Washington, D.C. Metro Region. Guests will get to enjoy cocktails and DJ entertainment at the party. Attendees may also participate in a raffle to help raise more funds for the event's cause. Those taking part in the soirée are asked to dress in all pink.

Girls in Technology is a group that is part of Women in Technology (WIT), which is a group with over 40,000 members. The organization wishes to empower women of all ages to excel in careers related to science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. Those interested in joining WIT can sign up online for free. Companies can help support WIT's mission by annually sponsoring the organization. There are several sponsorship tiers to join, such as the Advocate's Circle.

The party will be held on Wednesday, May 10 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. General admission to the soirée can be bought for $82. Registration is mandatory for the pink tie party. Those who organize fundraising parties like this may use flyer printing to attract more guests to the event.
