Vienna organization to organize farmers market

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna will be holding a farmers market in August at the Vienna Community Center.

The Vienna Optimists' Farmers Market is a community program where people can check out local vendors while enjoying live music entertainment. The special musical guest for the event is The Misfits Jug Band. Several vendors can be found at the market, such as Mama's Donut Bites, Lucy's Charity Plant Sale, and the Great Harvest Bread Company. People can also meet with local gardening experts during the event to get free advice for their gardens.

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna is an organization completely run by volunteers. The group uses community service programs and an upbeat attitude to help empower young people. The current president of the club is Tom Bauer, and the organization's acting secretary is Susan Bauer. People can join the group and help out during events like its farmers market and annual Christmas Tree Lot. The club meets monthly to give youth presentations.

The farmers market will occur on Saturday, August 26 from 8:00 am to noon. There is no cost for customers to browse the market. Those who want to help the Optimist Club of Greater Vienna can donate to the group online.
