Vienna model railroaders to host open house

The Vienna community is invited to step into the past with The Northern Virginia Model Railroaders open house, with working displays of the Western North Carolina railroad.

The Northern Virginia Model Railroaders Club is an over 70-year-old community of railroad enthusiasts located at the historic train depot in Vienna, Virginia. It preserves and celebrates Vienna's railroad history.

From train enthusiasts to those curious about history, everyone is invited to attend the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders open house and see their permanent model railroad layout, which showcases every hill, town, building, locomotive, rail car, and industry that was involved in the Western North Carolina railroad as it existed in North Carolina in the 1950s. The club’s events are often supplemented by the occasional guest visit from Thomas the Tank Engine and larger steam and diesel locomotives.

Open houses like the ones hosted at the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders Club are a wonderful way for the Vienna community to learn about different clubs in the region. To help generate awareness for events like this, event organizers often look for Graphic Design Services to help create professional advertisements and increase event awareness.
