Residents of Vienna will soon have an opportunity to lend their support to female veterans who are in need of a helping hand.
Reston’s Lake Fairfax Park has been selected as the venue for the Parks and Vet Picnic, which is being held in support of Final Salute, Inc. The organization assists homeless women veterans find housing for themselves and their families.
It will be a family friendly event, with lots for people of all ages. There will be bouncy castles, balloon artists, a mini golf course will be set up for the day, and there will also be cornhole and horseshoe games, a football toss, face painting for the kids, and a wide assortment of other activities.
Those who come out will be able to have their name entered in a raffle to win a prize that has been specially selected for the day. A Print company can supply decorations and an assortment of Promotional Products for an event such as this.
The day is open to all, and it will also be pet friendly. Anyone who plans on bringing a furry friend is asked to follow the applicable bylaws and policies that have been put in place in Fairfax County.
