For decades, Vienna has celebrated autumn with a special Halloween activity, and it will soon be back for another year.
The 71st Annual Halloween Parade will once again be hitting Maple Avenue, and all are invited to participate in this event that brings the community together in a spirit of fun. The procession will include floats and marching bands, as well as classic and antique vehicles and both youth and adult performers. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries in an assortment of categories.
A part of this parade that makes it unique is that all local children are invited to put on their costumes and join in the fun. They are welcome to walk along in the parade for as far as they wish, and parents or caregivers are not required to register them ahead of time to do so.
Any local businesses, organizations, or individuals that interested in sponsoring this community building event have been asked to contact the organizers. They have set up an assortment of ways of supporting the parade, ranging from being a title sponsor, to providing branded Promotional Products for use in goodie Bags for the kids.
Registration for those who would like to make an entry in the parade is now open, and the event itself will take place on October 25. More details can be found on the Vienna website.
