Vienna golf tourney to benefit children

The SafeSpot organization will hold a fundraising golf tournament to support its mission at the Westwood Country Club in Vienna.

The 2022 Champions for Children golf tourney is an event where people can play and network with other professionals in support of kids who have been abused. The experience also includes brunch with a bloody Mary bar, dinner, and a silent auction. The emcee during the dinner and live auction will be Philip Simonides. Sponsorship costs for the event will be between $1,500 and $10,000 and will include benefits like being featured in the tournament’s marketing materials.

SafeSpot is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children who have suffered from abuse by offering vital services like trauma-focused therapy, family support, case management, and specialized forensic interviews. All programs from the organization are provided to kids and their non-offending family members free of charge. The group is also partnered with the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, and Fairfax County Law Enforcement.

The golf tourney for SafeSpot will take place on Monday, October 24. Check-in for golfers will open at 10:30 am, and the dinner and life auction will be held at 6:30 pm. Individual tickets cost each participant $150. Non-profit groups in charge of fundraising tournaments such as this may use brochure printing to provide all guests with additional information about the organization’s cause.
