Girl Scout Troop 3438 has planned a special evening for fathers and daughters in Vienna, and it is hoping for a good turnout for the evening.
Next year will mark the 8th year that the group has hosted its Father Daughter Fairy Tale Ball, and the organizers noted that it will be a magical evening for all who attend.
The girls can come dressed in their fairy tale best or a princess costume, and there will be music, dancing, and many other activities to participate in.
The event is open to all girls, whether or not they are in the Girl Scouts. Each guest will be given a rhinestone tiara and their choice of bracelet or necklace to wear during the evening and then take home afterwards. A candy bar will be set up, and there will be an assortment of activity stations as well. Refreshments will be served, and there will be prize draw and optional keepsake photos as well.
While the event may be planned for dads and daughters, grandfathers, uncles, and even aunts and older sisters are welcome to act as an escort. Escorts are asked to come dressed in their office best, and to help add to the excitement of the function, local Stationery printers can craft a formal invitation to send to each of the ticket holders for an event like this.
The evening has been planned for the Vienna Baptist Church Hall on January 20. Anyone who would like to participate is advised to purchase their tickets well ahead of time, as the planners noted they tend to sell out quickly.
