What's Happening in Vienna, VA…

Vienna families invited to flashlight egg hunt

When it comes to spring fun, Vienna knows how to put a unique twist on a classic Easter tradition.

Glyndon Park is an 11-acre wooded recreation area with walking trails, playgrounds, and a baseball field. It is the perfect backdrop for the upcoming Family Flashlight Egg Hunt.

This Easter egg hunt is unique in that it will occur in the dark. Participants are encouraged to bring a basket to collect the eggs they find and a flashlight to make their hunt easier.

This event has two Easter egg hunts: a more classic easter egg hunt earlier in the evening that will not require flashlights meant for children under 5, and one later in the evening, meant to give older children a bit more of a challenge with their hunt.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy various games and music before the hunts, and to meet the Easter Bunny.

Planning events like Easter egg hunts require a lot of coordination and printing. From filling the Easter eggs to planning where they will be hidden to creating decorations for the event, event organizers often utilize print shops to help bring their ideas to life.

The Family Flashlight Egg Hunt will take place on April 11, with two starting times: 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The hunt will take place at Glyndon Park, located at 300 Glyndon Street NE, Vienna. Participants must register in advance and can do so through the Town of Vienna website. Tickets are $5.00 per family member, and children under 12 months are free.
