Vienna event in honor of its public works employees

The town of Vienna has issued an invitation to members of the public to help it celebrate the hard work its employees do all year round.

As part of its National Public Works Week festivities, the community will be welcoming residents to visit its property yard. While there, they can get an up-close look at the different types of vehicles and other machinery that are utilized by Vienna employees to improve and maintain the town’s infrastructure. They will also have a chance to learn more about the various projects they are working on, how they go about their daily tasks, and what sorts of challenges they face.

The day has been planned as a family friendly event, and there will be special activities for the kids, as well as light refreshments and other treats for all. All are welcome to come out and find out more about how their community is managed and maintained, and show their appreciation to the people who keep it all running smoothly. Stationery printers can supply the organizers of a function like this with public works themed coloring sheets, activity Books, and other items that can be distributed to the children who attend the function with their parents.

The open house has been planned for May 18 at the Vienna North Side Property Yard, which is located at 600 Mill Street North East. There is no charge to participate, and further details can be found on the community website.
