SPARK Business Academy Inc. will be holding a workshop for kids this August in Vienna that teaches business concepts through lemonade stands.
Students can attend a workshop at Colvin Run Elementary to learn about the basics of entrepreneurship by running their own lemonade stands. Campers who attend the course will participate in hands-on activities in a nurturing environment that encourages teamwork.
Children in the program will experiment with different lemonade recipes, estimate profits, and even discuss philanthropy. Students will also get to make marketing materials for their stands. On the final day of the camp, the kids will launch their lemonade stand to raise money for charity.
The SPARK Business Academy is an organization that wishes to empower students with financial literacy skills to promote educated financial decisions. The group offers a variety of business programs that teach important concepts in finance.
The organization offers clubs like the My First Hot Cocoa Stand and Stock Market Club to introduce elementary and middle schoolers to financial concepts in an exciting way. Clubs like these can use poster printing to promote themselves in schools to other students.
The My First Lemonade Stand camp will be held from August 3rd to August 7th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The workshop is intended for children between the ages of five and seven. The cost to partake in the camp will be $425 per student.
