Parody performer to appear in Vienna

The Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia will be featuring the musical comedian Weird Al Yankovic as a performer this July.

Weird Al is commonly known for his parodies that turn popular songs into comedic skits and is currently performing around the United States on his 2019 Strings Attached tour, visiting cities such as New Orleans, Fort Lauderdale, and Austin. He was initially studying at the California Polytechnic State University to become an architect, but switched to becoming a performer after his parody of The Knack’s ‘My Sharona’ was well received by the public.

The Wolf Trap is a venue that hosts several concerts by well-known artists throughout the year. Over 75 companies help contribute funds to support the business in running educational programs that cater to more than half a million people. Companies that are interested in sponsoring the Wolf Trap can donate from $8,500 to $55,000, which both include benefits such as the venue using printing services to feature advertisements in their programs during performances.

Anybody who would like to watch Weird Al Yankovic perform at the Wolf Trap on his tour can purchase their tickets starting at $40. The concert will be held on July 16 at 8:00 pm, though attendees can enter the gates at 6:30 pm. The Strings Attached tour will continue to travel around the United States until September 1.
