Norfolk to organize half marathon and 10K

Runners are invited to partake in the upcoming Norfolk Harbor Half Marathon & 10K this November in downtown Norfolk.

The Norfolk Harbor Half Marathon & 10K is an annual competitive race that was formerly known as the Harbor Lights Half Marathon. The running course will take participants through Norfolk’s historic neighborhoods, passing by iconic sights like the Mowbray Arch and Old Dominion University.

Most of the race will be held on a fast and flat course. Those looking for an additional challenge can participate in a 5K held the day before the half marathon.

All runners who finish the race are invited to join their fellow competitors at a post-race celebration at Town Point Park. The party will feature live entertainment provided by the Waterside District. Those who complete the half marathon and are 21 and older are eligible for four complimentary beverages, and drink tickets will also be available for spectators to purchase. Races like this can utilize flyer printing to market the event to athletes in the community.

The running event will be held on Sunday, November 22nd and will begin at 7:30 am. Each runner must pay $75 and up to join the half marathon, while the 10K will cost $45 and up. People can also enter a virtual version of the race, which includes a downloadable digital race bib and a downloadable finisher certificate.
