Norfolk to empower youths with conference

Vision Driven 757 will organize an event for teens in Norfolk that will help attendees learn how to take control of their lives.

The Building Bosses Youth Empowerment Conference is an event for teens from 13-18 where guests can hear from motivational speakers and discover important life skills. The dynamic convention will feature a talent showcase, pitch contest, and youth vendor business fair. There will be professionals at the event who will offer job readiness support, and attendees can also take part in a career fair. Interactive breakout sessions will be held throughout the conference.

Vision Driven 757 is a nonprofit group that wants to support children and teens from the Hampton Roads area. The organization wants to make a nurturing environment for empowering youths and improving their leadership skills. Many events have been held by Vision Driven 757, such as the Your Life Matters Back to School Rally, the Born Innovators Black History Showcase, and The Sisters Brunch. The group has also organized affirmation workshops and book signings.

The youth empowerment conference will be held on February 1st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There are no ticket fees for the event. Those interested in becoming a community vendor, performer, speaker, or pitch judge can apply online.
