Norfolk residents can head down to the waterfront to sample wine and enjoy live entertainment.
The 28th Annual Town Point Virginia Wine Festival will feature wine from more than 300 wineries in Virginia. During the two-day event, experts will lead wine seminars that will teach attendees how to properly swirl, smell, and sip their wine. Along with basic wine education seminars, students can also examine wines and perform a blind tasting.
General admission costs $25 on the Saturday and $20 on the Sunday. For the Saturday, tasting tickets cost $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. For the Sunday, tasting tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the gate.
For $170, guests can purchase reserved seating for four guests that includes tasting tickets. If they pay between $315 and $465, guests can reserve a table for eight guests plus tasting tickets. These tickets can only be purchased in advance. Stationery printers have probably been busy creating all the different types of tickets for the event.
Individuals can also purchase a boater’s package, which includes four tasting tickets and parkside docking during the wine festival. Prices start at $200 and reservations are recommended. For more information about this, or to make reservations, call 757-441-2345.
