The opportunity to clean out unwanted items and make money in the process or discovering treasures at bargain prices is coming, and it is called the McLean Community Garbage Sale.
So far over 50 sellers have signed up for one of the season’s largest garage sales and there is no admission fee. A limited number of spaces are available for sellers, so interested parties should waste no time in signing up.
Adults residing in the McLean Community Center (MCC) district can purchase spaces for $35 each, while for those outside the district the cost is $45. Youngsters up to 15 years of age and living in the MCC district can buy Kids’ Corner spaces for $15. Non-residents under 15 will be charged $25.
Large garage sales featuring participants who have paid a fee are likely to take a professional approach and use a flyer printing service to get the word out.
The garage sale is being hosted by The McLean Community Center with the help of General Assets, Inc., McLean Properties and Giant Food. The sale will take place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on September 15 at 1420 Beverly Road, in the McLean Community Center parking garage.
Assuming spaces are still available, the deadline to reserve a selling space is September 12. Interested parties can register online.
