McLean residents will soon be ushering in autumn weather with the help of a community-wide block party in September.
The OFC Block Party has been created to commemorate 36 years of service that have come to define the McLean Old Firehouse Center. This one-day event is expected to appeal to all ages, and numerous activities have been confirmed.
It is a recurring annual event, so many residents may already know what is in store. A handful of attractions include live music, free giveaways, food vendors, children's games, arts and crafts, and a business fair intended to appeal to younger visitors.
Organizers have stated that their main intention is to bring traditional block party energy back to the community, and to offers a means for residents to connect with one another in a fun atmosphere. Additional activities are likely to be confirmed in the near future.
Community-oriented festivals will often turn to cost-effective advertising solutions that have provided results in the past. Common examples include flyer printing, handing out mass-produced leaflets, and hanging banner ads along major thoroughfares.
The 2026 McLean OFC Block Party will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 1 PM to 4 PM. All activities are taking place on the premises of the Old Firehouse Center located at 1440 Chain Bridge Road. Admission and free, and no reservations are needed in advance.
