The McLean Community Center will once again be hosting an annual antiques fair in November.
This one-day event provides residents with a unique opportunity to purchase one-off items, or simply to interact with their neighbors.
The McLean Antiques Show & Sale will soon be celebrating its 50th consecutive anniversary, which is why organizers are already preparing for a sizeable turnout. They have also announced that a guest speaker is slated to attend. Josh Hildreth will be discussing how to include antiques within the decor of a contemporary home while answering questions from the audience.
Dealers from across the McLean community will also be showcasing a host of unique items, and some of these may date back to the 18th century. Examples include bicycles, houseware, paintings, furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, and silverware. Some items have been procured locally, while others may have originated abroad.
Annual events will often use marketing strategies that worked well in the past, such as consulting reliable printing services when preparing a batch of time-sensitive Flyers or asking volunteers to hand out Brochures.
The event is being held on Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All attractions can be found within McLean Community Center located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue. General admission tickets cost $11, and children under 17 can enter free of charge.
