Children throughout McLean are eagerly anticipating an upcoming July event that will be introducing them to a host of unique farm animals. This event offers a hands-on means to learn more about nature within a safe, and welcoming environment.
This petting zoo has been organized by the team at Shipgarten, and it is celebrating its fourth anniversary. All interactive events are being hosted by trained professionals, so children can also learn more about the behavior of these animals, and how they are vital to the local community.
Adults will also be provided with entertainment while their children participate in animal-friendly exhibitions. Some attractions include live music, food, cold beverages, face painting, arts and crafts, an inflatable bouncy castle, and a magic performance by Jake the Great. Free parking is available at 1700 Old Meadow Road, although spaces may be limited.
Organizers of family-oriented events will likely turn to proven marketing techniques to spread the word as the day draws closer. Some approaches include professional flyer printing, employing volunteers to distribute Brochures, and creating eye-catching Posters that list the main attractions.
The Fourth Annual McLean Petting Zoo is being held on Sunday, July 26th from 12 PM to 5 PM. All activities are taking place within Shipgarten located at 7581 Colshire Drive. Admission is free, and tickets can be obtained online.
