The property where the Brzezinskis lived sits at the Old Dominion Drive and Spring Hill Road intersection here in McLean, and was acquired by the family in 1977. Diplomatic gatherings were hosted for visiting foreign leaders in the home.

John Foust, the Dranesville District Supervisor, issued the following statement:
"I am grateful to the Park Authority for preserving this property …. I also appreciate the Brzezinski family's desire to protect the natural beauty and cultural significance of this property, and their willingness to work with the Park Authority to make sure that happened."
Zbigniew Brzezinski served under the Carter administration as national security advisor and had earlier in his career been a counselor during President Lyndon B. Johnson’s term. Brzezinski passed away in 2017 leaving his wife Emilie, a recognized sculptress and three children. One of the younger Brzezinskis, Mika, can be seen co-hosting “Morning Joe” on MSNBC.
The property, which in the future may become a community park, features rolling terrain, level ground, and informal trails. It cost $2.4m, which was funded via park bonds.
