The 67th annual ‘Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival’ is taking place for four days this month.
4-H is a network of youth organizations that provides young people with the advice and means to reach their full potential. The fair serves as a way for 4-H groups to engage with the community.
The event will have many of the activities expected at a county fair, including farm animal shows, competitions, and 18 categories of 4-H exhibits. Some of the competitions taking place are in areas such as scrapbooks and displays, science and technology, floriculture, and the arts. There will be interactive educational exhibits, goat and cow milk demonstrations, a robotics showcase, and a concert starring ‘Gonzo's Nose’.
There will also be a big truck show, a tractor pull, wagon and carousel rides, a parade of champions, and carnival rides and games. Food will also be available for purchase.
Families in the area, including those from McLean, will no doubt want to visit the fair for at least one day. To spread words of upcoming events in the county, local Print companies often provide Flyers and Brochures.
The Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival will be held at Frying Pan Farm Park, Herndon from July 30 to August 2. Admission is free, but parking is $7 per vehicle. Tickets for carnival rides are $1 each and 24 for $20; unlimited tickets are $16 until July 22 and $18 after. Carousel rides are $2 each and wagon rides are $3.
