McLean Central Park will be the site of the McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) annual Artfest, an event that in addition to art will include music and food.
The 2022 MPA Artfest will offer up the work of over 35 visual artists as well as local food vendors, music performers from the D.C. area, as well as various children’s activities. Celebrated artists from around the Mid-Atlantic region and even further will take part in a juried fine art show and some works of art will be for sale.
One of the advantages of using a poster printing service to promote an event is that space is available to list the many available activities.
Food will be provided by a number of food trucks and eateries, among which will be Rocklands BBQ, Kona Ice, and Café Kindred. Also on hand will be The Mather-sponsored Café Beret offering beer and wine provided by The Wine Outlet.
Music will be performed by Blues Alley Youth Jazz Orchestra, Alison Crockett, Little Red and the Renegades, Bobby Thompson, Ruthie and the Wranglers, and Taisha Estrada. Each act has a one-hour set.
Inside the Children’s Activity Tents will be art-based learning stations and activities.
Admission is free for the MPA Artfest, which takes place on Sunday, October 2 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Parking can be found at 1234 Ingleside Avenue at the McLean Community Center.
