The McLean Community Center (MCC), located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue, will host three events during the first half of December.
The McLean Holiday Art & Crafts Festival is a three-day event that will take place December 3 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, December 4 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and December 5 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. A one-time admission price of $5 ensures an individual over the age of 12 admission for all three days. Entry is free for children under the age of 12. This three-day festival will feature as many as 80 juried, regional artisans.
Utilizing a flyer printing service is an affordable way to promote events like these.
The Holiday Gingerbread House Workshop is next. It will be held 6:30 to 8:00 pm on December 9 and the cost is $35 for MCC district residents and $45 per family for non-residents. Families will be supplied with a pre-built gingerbread house to decorate, along with over 20 traditional candies, frosting and toppings. This is an in-person event, although families may arrange to pick up their house and supplies to make theirs at home.
The third event, called Santa Claus is Coming to Town, will take place on December 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Families can have a photo with Santa outdoors, with social distancing. This will be a contactless event. Photographs will be emailed to participants. The cost is $10 per person and slots are limited, so people are advised to register in advance.
