The McLean Community Center will once again be the site of the annual McLean Holiday Art & Craft Festival. This three-day event, now entering its 40th year, features over 80 different vendors.
The event promises attendees more than just a chance to buy holiday gifts. It also allows them to see winners of various local festivals and region-best talent in a variety of artistic areas, including glass, jewelry, fashion, and food. Attendees will also be able to get food or drinks at the onsite café that has been set up to feed vendors, judges and attendees. There will also be music throughout the three-day event.
The event itself is run by the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild. The guild, which has been in operation since 1972, is a 501(c)(3) organisation that helps promote the arts and assist individuals in setting up art-related businesses.
While the primary purpose of the event is to promote the artists and recognize their talent, vendors will be onsite to allow people the chance to makes purchase events, so there will be chances to pick up family, business or Corporate Gifts, many of which cannot be found elsewhere.
The event itself will be held on Friday, December 2 (11:00 am – 7:00 pm), Saturday, December 3 (10:00 am – 6:00 pm), and Sunday, December 4 (11:00 am – 4:00 pm). It will be held at the McLean Community Center, located at 1234 Ingelside Avenue. Admission is $5 for adults, but free for kids under 12.
