Sugar Cookie Classes in McLean will host the Bar-B-Cute Cookies Sugar Cookie Decorating Class in July for those wishing to learn helpful decorating tips and techniques.
The classes was founded by Corrie Miracle and Heather Miracle to share their passion for cookies with the people of Northern Virginia, as well as to provide the area with a fun space to learn the art of decorating cookies. The classes are designed for bakers of all ages and skill levels.
The July class will be summer themed and will have two in-person instructors. Students will learn about how to prepare royal icing, how to properly color icing, and how to fill piping Bags easily. Decorating techniques taught may range from outlining and marbling to painting and brush embroidery. Attendees do not need to bring anything extra as all class materials will be included, and no baking experience is necessary because the cookies will be pre-made and ready to be decorated.
Instructors of how-to classes like this often prepare a selection of printed learning materials for the class. Such materials can often be printed in bulk at local Print shops.
The cookie class is scheduled for July 10 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. It will take place at NVS Kitchen and Bath Design Studio on 6712 Old McLean Village Drive, Unit A. Class registration is $75.
