The Town of McLean, Virginia has announced that it will once again be hosting a large community event designed to welcome families and give them a place to celebrate the Fourth of July.
This Community Independence Day Fireworks Celebration will have a variety of family-friendly activities for the entire family, including gourmet food trucks, music played by a professional DJ, and giveaways. There will be limited parking onsite and a shuttle that drops individuals off for offsite parking.
As it is the Fourth of July, there will certainly be fireworks. These will start at around 9:15pm and last for around 20 minutes. Individuals can attend for any part of the event and stay for as long as they would like. The event website also notes that there may be updates to the activities in the future, so interested individuals are encouraged to pay attention to the site for more information. The event will be held a few days before Independence Day on Saturday, July 1, with a rain date of July 2. It will be at Langley High School, which is located at 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean.
