This program, which is hosted by Virginian company DryHome Roofing and Siding, allows people to nominate a person, family, or nonprofit organization throughout Northern Virginia that is in need and deserving of a free roof. Some of the previous recipients include Mrs. Caylor, Good Shepherd Alliance, Bernie Cline, the Falls Church Cub Scout House, Reston Interfaith, Gabriel Homes, and Hubert Laconia.
About giving a free roof to Mr. Laconia, owner of DryHome Steve Gotschi said:
“We always receive many heartfelt nominations, and are proud to be able to continue this tradition. Mr. Laconia served our country in many ways, and it felt great to be able to give back to him. We look forward to helping someone else this year.”
Those who are interested in nominating someone can do so by filling out the form online or by emailing DryHome at info@dryhome.com about the nominee and the reason behind their selection. Those who will be emailing the company should be sure to include information such as their own phone number and name, as well as the phone number, name, and address of the nominee. Nominations must be completed by December 1.
