Finalists for the 22nd Annual March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards have been announced and preparations are underway for the awards ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean.
From among the finalists, eight award winners will be announced at the black-tie event that acknowledges and celebrates the commitment to volunteerism of professional women based in D.C. In addition to the announcement and presentation of the awards, the gala is to honor all the finalists and their dedication.
Just as businesses turn to printing services for customized items to promote themselves, non-profit organizations likewise use them to increase their name recognition and “sell themselves”.
So far, 135 “heroines” have been honored by the March of Dimes since the first Heroines of Washington was introduced in 2001. All proceeds from the Heroines of Washington Awards are used to support the March of Dimes mission to promote the health of mothers and their babies via research, programs, education, community services and advocacy. In its 22 years, the Heroines of Washington has raised $4.8 million.
The Awards Gala for the Heroines of Washington will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm on November 10, 2022, in McLean at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner and will include a dinner and silent auction. Among the attendees will be officials from local businesses and organization as well as local government office holders.
