The Tinner Hills Blues Festival is taking place for three days this June in Falls Church.
The event will start off with an opening reception at Stifel and Capra. Guests will enjoy a taste of the music to come and refreshments. They can also shop at the Flea Market Frenzy.
The festival will feature both free and paid events, including the Blues, Brew and BBQ to be held at Cherry Hill Park. Another one that is sure to be popular will be the Father's Day Brunch and Blues Tribute at JV's Restaurant. There will be several exhibits, including one on the history of women in Blues and the ongoing Envisioning Blues exhibit at Art and Frame of Falls Church. Also on the schedule are discussion panels and a film festival.
Some of the performers already confirmed for this year are Teeny Tucker, Baatin, and the SolRoots Band.
No doubt this festival will attract visitors from all over the area, including McLean. Organizers may decide to invest in flyer printing services to help spread the word.
The festival is being held in Falls Church from June 13 to 15, with the free-to-attend opening reception to be held on June 13 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Blues, Brew and BBQ is taking place on June 14 from 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door; VIP tickets are $20 in advance or $30.
