From Richmond to McLean, Virginia, residents of the state will have an opportunity to be featured on the History Channel’s hit show, American Pickers.
American Pickers is a television show that follows two men, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fitz, as they journey across America in search of antiques and other oddities that they can collect and resell. The two will visit predetermined locations based on submissions but they have also been known to drop by older looking locations as they catch their eye. They are expected to start filming in Virginia once they have enough stops planned out.
The pair are commonly in search of oddities, old Signs with a popular Logo Design, movie memorabilia, antique automobile parts and bodies, older toys, and other such collectibles. No submissions that come from public stores or locations, such as flea markets or antique shops, will be accepted by the crew. Only private collections will be considered and the team may reject a submission if they find it is not well suited for the show.
For those who are interested in appearing in the show, submissions can be made by sending a person’s name, phone number, address, and photos of their collection along with a description in an email to AmericanPickers@cineflix.com, or by making a phone call to (855) 653-7878 with the same information.
More information about the television show can be found on the Antique Archaeology website.
