Manassas attends traditional festival

The African American Foundation of Prince William County will be presenting its 34th annual Manassas African American Heritage Festival in early August.

This celebration will include over 125 exhibitors from arts and crafters and retailers selling African items to youth groups, schools and colleges. There will also be a health fair, classic car Show and a business and job expo. Guests will also get treated to a food festival, an art and craft gallery and a history gallery.

In order to take full advantage of networking opportunities, many vendors that sell at events such as this bring plenty of Business Cards to share with other nonprofits, community leaders and businesses.

A 15-minute greeting and welcoming will begin the festivities at 10:45 am. That will be followed by Rev. Isaac Howard and Singers and Pop Middleton Male Chorus. Posh Hair Studio perform next, and DJ A-Ron and Door Prizes will follow. The Quiet Fire Soul Band will then play, pausing for the Classic Car Show Awards and resuming play at 3:15 pm. The stage lineup will continue with the 7-Step Hand Dance Academy, and DJ A-Ron and Door Prizes will perform again. The evening will end with the True Soul R&B Band performing from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Manassas African American Heritage Festival will take place August 2nd from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at Metz Middle School, 9950 Wellington Road.
