Manassas offers summer events for all

Downtown Manassas has a busy schedule with a music series, and two festivals coming in June, and a Fourth of July celebration coming in early July.

The Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center Street, will continue its Acoustic Tuesday concerts with Chesapeake Sons, Natalie Brooke, Shane Gamble and Jason Masi in June and Travis Tucker, Enslow Duo, Kevin Koa, Grayson Moon Duo and Shane Gamble in July. These concerts will begin at 7:00 pm.

The Pavilion will hold the 3rd Annual Puerto Rican Festival and will be celebrating Puerto Rican culture with traditional music and dancing, authentic cuisine, and costumes. Entertainment will be Moa Rivera, Hip Hop Jibarito NYC, Free Style Concert series, Kadencia and Wendy Luna. From noon to 1:30 pm there will be a meet-and-greet with social media culinary expert Omi Hopper.

Guests are advised to bring blankets and lawn chairs and sunblock. Admission will be free.
The Puerto Rican Festival will be held Saturday, June 14th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.

On Sunday, June 15th beginning at noon, the Pavilion will have the Prince William Community Band Festival. Community bands from around the area will be performing.

On July 4th from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm Historic Downtown Manassas will be celebrating our nation's birthday with family-friendly activities, craft and food vendors, and fireworks at 9:15 pm.
