In keeping with the popular Christmas in July trend, the organizers for the annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade have announced the theme for its 2026 parade.
This year’s parade, sponsored by Stanley Martin Homes, will have as its theme “80 Years. Still Sleighin’” and will commence in downtown Manassas at 10 am. The traditional route has been for the parade to begin at Mathis Avenue in proximity to Red Yank Drive or Carriage Lane, turn onto Sudley Road, and then proceed along Prescott Avenue continuing on Center Street. The parade then goes through Historic Downtown Manassas before turning onto Peabody Street before ending close to the Courthouse on either Lee Avenue or Mosby Street.

The Manassas Christmas Parade has been a cherished community occurrence since 1945 and is one of Northern Virginia’s largest Christmas events. Supported by hundreds of volunteers, it generally contains over 100 units, including floats, bands, community groups and high-flying balloons, along with around 2,000 participants.
The announcement for the 80th Christmas Parade’s theme included the news that Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves are prepped for the season. The 2026 parade will include a contest winner designed float, the Miller Toyota Santa float. The parade is to be held on December 5, 2026.
