Manassas foodies head to festival

The International Food Festival will be coming to Manassas in mid-November.

This event will feature over 30 food vendors selling a variety of international cuisine dishes including Caribbean, Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian. There will also be live music playing all day to help keep things feeling festive. In addition to the food trucks, local artists will be setting up booths to display and sell their wares. A host of activities such as face painting will keep the little ones occupied.

People of all ages, and their pets (on leashes) are welcome to attend. The event serves to introduce locals to delicious food they might not find in other places and also to the people who cook it, including emerging chefs. The event organizers are also hoping the festival will be a celebration of culture, allowing people from all over the world to introduce themselves and their art, customs and modes of dress to the people of northern Virginia. They are also hoping it will become an annual event, similar to many others hosted throughout the D.C. metropolitan area.

Those who attend events like this often collect Business Cards from those vendors they especially enjoy.

This culinary festival will take place Sunday, November 16, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm along 9021 Prince William Street in the Historic District. Admission and parking will be free.
