The 38th annual Herndon Festival is taking place the weekend after Memorial Day. It is a presentation of the Herndon Parks and Recreation Department.
This is a popular festival that attracts over 80,000 visitors each day, with activities for the entire family. There will be three stages of musical entertainment, a Kids’ Alley with hands-on art activities, and a carnival with games and rides. Carnival tickets are $1.25 each, $30 for 30, or $45 for 50. An all-you-can-ride wristband is also available for $16 or $24.
There will be a business expo, arts and crafts vendors selling various handmade items such as artworks and clothing, and fireworks displays. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
Part of the festival is set to include 10K and 5K marathons and a fitness expo. Fees for the marathon are $35 each in advance, or $45 on the day for adults and $20 for children aged 15 and under. The top two finishers in each age category will win prizes. It will take place at the Herndon Community Center on June 3.
Herndon flyer printing companies are often asked to provide products to help advertise public events such as this.
The Herndon Festival will be held at various locations from May 31 to June 3. For the most current information, call 703-787-7300.
