A late April event is bringing art to Herndon residents, while also focusing on a popular type and subject matter.
Sunwashed Citrus is an activity from the local Pinot’s Palette studio. The lesson gives attendees a chance to try out a simple painting project. These activities are a small social gathering that ends with everyone having a piece of artwork that they get to keep. These experiences can be enjoyed solo or with friends or family.
The image will showcase a pitcher and bowl of fruit depicted in a warm palette of colors, with a darker background to make the items stand out. The combination of a vessel and fruit is a common choice for the subject of a still life painting. Still life art is a topic that is often covered multiple times by those learning either drawing or painting, as it allows for simple repetition and a less intimidating way to work on realism.
Tickets are available on the website for the Herndon location of Pinot’s Palette. The cost per person is $47. For an extra $25, guests are also able to make a candle with one of the twenty five different scents available. A popular promotion technique for artistic events is flyer printing. Adult drink tastings are included, and mocktails are sold at the venue. The activity will run between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on April 26th.
